mission is to provide comprehensive, yet affordable solutions
to assist in the protection of potable water through backflow
prevention. We strive to develop software solutions that
will increase communication, collaboration and information
sharing between all parties involved in backflow prevention.
By providing the tools to reduce the office workload, we
will enhance the ability to implement effective cross-connection
control programs at a reduced cost. |
| Partnership
Background |
|
The
origins of BPMS date back to the late 1980's in the Pacific
Northwest region of the United States and Western Canada,
when progressive members of their cross-connection control
committees realized that the use of a computer program
was instrumental in the implementation of an effective
program. A DOS-based computer software was developed and
many users, throughout the region, used the program for
years to come. In 1997, under the initiative of the BCWWA
Cross-Connection Committee, a Windows-based version of
the software was developed. The contract was awarded to
BPMS Software.
Today,
BPMS has a solid user base throughout North America and
is recognized as one of the most comprehensive, and affordable
solutions for administering a cross-connection control
program.
